Although the functional and development capabilities of smartphones are just lower than those of personal computers, their capabilities on browsing online lecture materials or reference materials have already been in enough level, in spite of their narrow screens of displays and existence of some particular restrictions on their application program developments. Considering very favorable availability, portability and usability of smartphones, it must be advantageous for us to utilize them to facilitate the students’ self-studying environments. However, in doing so, we must overcome the above mentioned restrictions on smartphone application developments.
