 note = {In this paper, the author touches upon some basic considerations that seem to require deliberation in order to approach the task of teaching a second language in the classroom setting in a meaningful way. What is it that we are teaching? How is that which we are teaching learned? What are the roles of the teacher and the student in the language learning classroom? How can the different aspects of language, i.e., reading, writing, listening, and speaking be synthesized to further the language learning process?
