| 内容記述 | Deriving from Jungian Psychology, Process Work has been expanding its range of application from individual psychotherapy to group work in such areas as organizational change or conflict facilitation. Its basic theory is unique and powerful in dealing with individual and collective edges or boundaries. We know on the other hand that intercultural studies today aim at managing "cultural difference" in the largest sense of the term: "cultural difference" involves here not simply national culture but also race, ethnicity, gender, age, education, health, sexual orientation et cetera. Supposing our inner and outer world diversity, Intercultural Communication seeks ways to cross our cultural boundaries so as to integrate different cultures. In addressing this challenge, Process Work seems to provide a useful tool in that its Edgework is elaborate and readily available for personal and organizational development. This paper examines similitude in framework between Process Work and Intercultural Communication, before focusing on concrete applications of Edgework to intercultural issues at the intrapersonal, interpersonal and group communication levels. | |||||
